The position

The Technical Team Lead reports directly to the President and CEO and is responsible for the evolution of our SaaS platform. As such, he leads the software development process, takes an active part in product management and manages a team of four developers and one senior architect.

As a team lead, he also takes part in the Management Meetings where he can influence the company’s strategy with his in-depth knowledge of our platform and his understanding of all the technical aspects at stake it it’s efficiency and ease of use.

Responsibilities

Lead the software development process

• Plan the workload, assign tasks, control timelines and development cadence
• Participate actively in technology choices and architecture decisions
• Organize and supervise quality assurance work
• Support developers

Take part in the product management process

• With his /her colleagues, establish the functionalities to be added and their order of priority
• Update and publish the product roadmap

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences or mathematics/computer science
• 10 years of experience in object-oriented development
• 3 years of experience managing technical teams comprised of 3 to 10 members
• Hands-on experience with the Agile/Scrum product development methodology
• Experience with the development of SaaS solutions deployed on a public cloud
• Experience with CI/CD practice in an organization using multiple APIs.

Desired profile

The candidate has solid experience managing development teams in agile mode either within a startup or using the LEAN approach. His business analysis skills enable him to clearly grasp the issues at hand and understand what problems must be solved and how to go about solving them. He has also taken part in the construction of SaaS products that have a massively scalable architecture, is familiar with the public cloud and with strategies to leverage it to its full potential. He is also interested in working with other departments including network operations (noc), research and development, sales and marketing and finances.
